Ever had this happen? A key pops off your laptop keyboard? Well, the funny thing about this incident is I had just promised to give my 1 year-old Toshiba laptop to my nephew Chanshik in Korea to help him celebrate graduating high school. It was fine as far as I knew. But when I hung up the phone and turned around and looked at it, I found a key missing. It had been popped off. I was able to figure who did it when I discovered the teeth marks in it. Try as I may, I couldn't fix it. The little blue piece has posts, but they were broken off. It took a while to determine this. The way to fix it is basically to replace the whole keyboard. In a couple of years, the price should come down as used keyboards become available. But for now, I guess it'll have to stay that way.
