Pre-Spring Yard Work

Spring is almost here.   Our yard is wild and natural.  It wasn't touched ten years ago when the house was built, and I don't think it has been touched since.  If it were just Duk-Sun and I, we might just leave the yard alone and let it stay natural.  The poison ivy, in particular is so beautiful and gives us rich privacy.  But with kids that love to run and play, things like ivy, poison ivy, thorny vines, muscadine vines, stumps, dead sticks and logs cut way down on the available play space.   We are gradually taming the space around our house.  The time to act is now--pre-spring.  Just before the bugs and vines start their race upward and outward.  The work is super easy and safe now, so we're tackling it when we get a chance.  Hank is a lot of help in the yard.
