A Weekend in Forsyth

This past weekend we went to Forsyth twice. My sister Pam returned from Germany after spending several years there. I'll add her photo later. It was good to see her back home again. My Aunt Bernice's daughter Kathy came from Maine for a visit. I somehow didn't take any pictures of her either. I think we were all too busy talking and playing with the kids.

Grandparents Meet Baby S

After an hour or so hiking at High Falls State Park, we visited Papa Jack and Grandma Shirley in Forsyth. The visit was short, but sweet. We enjoyed the hamburgers and hot dogs that Papa Jack made for us.

At James' & Aunt Connie's

We had a great time visiting James and Aunt Connie. They showed us real southern hospitality and all the kids had wagon loads of fun.

Off to the creek to explore.

A mom and her calf. Look closely, the calf is still wet. It was just born today. There was another one born elsewhere on the ranch the same day.

The horses are hitched to the wagon, and we were off on a ride.

We'll turn left at the mailbox.

We're back at the barn.

Time to care for the horses, and give them a good brushing.

Supper was terrific! We had butter beans and corn bread, sweet potatoes, and chicken.
We can't wait to go back!

Birthday Bash in Pottersville, GA

It was a beautiful October Day at Richard and Cindy's ranch in Pottersville, GA. Although we were only able to stay 3 hours, it was a nice visit. They are so blessed to have a second home like this. They both work really hard keeping it up and it is a nice place for a retreat.
