Departure Day

Today Hyebin, KC and YooJeong went home. We are sad because we will miss them and it may be a long time before we see them again, but we are happy that we could meet them, get to know them, and have them as guests in our homes. We all agree that we are at least one month older and wiser from the experience! We hope to see them all again someday. :)

Hannah Turns Three!

Hannah is 3 already! Happy Birthday, Hannah!

YooJeong helped make her cake.

Her present--a bicycle! I know it's not pink with white tires, but it was the best used bike her size I could find.

Since it was raining, she got to ride it inside for a couple of days.

The Maric Family All Together

On the last visit I didn't get a picture of the whole Maric family together. They stopped by for just a few minutes on the way to the airport to return to Canada, so I took this family photo. We only wish they could have stayed longer.

Laura's mom, YunJa came, too!

We've known Laura for 5 years--ever since Duk-Sun taught her in the 2nd grade, and at long last we met her mother. Why did it take so long? 1. She lives in Argentina. 2. She is separated from her husband. 3. Years ago she had a green card for the U.S., but she didn't enter the U.S. for over a year and that made the green card expire. 4. This made it more complicated and difficult to apply for a visitor's visa. It was a difficult visit for us, because we feel for Laura and both of her parents. Children in situations like this really have a rough time.

Laura and YooJeong Play Together

Laura Park came and saw our new house for the first time. YooJeong was excited to have a girl her age to play with. They had a good time together.
