At Lucky Shoals Park we visited the creek and found the largest crawdad I've ever seen. Usually they are the size of one of this guy's claws!
Don't laugh, but with 4 boys and a man, (including our former neighbor's kids, Alex and Patrick) none of us were the first to get this critter out of the water--it was Duk-Sun. She said she spent much time catching these critters when she was a little girl.
We opened our door and about a foot away there was this nicely made spider web. This kind of spider usually makes his web at night and has it cleaned up by morning, but this particular day it was 10:00am and he hadn't cleaned up yet.
