Laura is Back with Her Father

Laura went back to live with her father today. We will miss her. Her father agreed for her to stay with us until Christmas vacation started. After that, it was going to be up to Laura to decide where she wanted to live. She chose to go back and stay with her father in spite of the lack of supervision there. While she was here, she had to do her homework and some chores as well. She was not always thrilled to do these things. I think having any limitations regarding the media and sweets were rough on her as well.

We are sad to see Laura go, and especially sad that more progress was not made while she was here. But since we gave Laura a steady "diet" of God's Word, we are comforted by Isaiah 55 that says:

10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
