House hunting - We took about 2 weeks hunting houses in Cobb County. We haven't found anything that we couldn't live without so far. We did see something that Hannah enjoyed, since she loves school buses, a school bus mailbox!

Bamboo that we planted in our back yard is up to 8 feet now. In about 3 weeks, the largest new bamboo tree grew at least 8 feet. That's 4 and a half inches per day! I didn't realize how soft it is at first. You could easily squeeze it flat and break it for the first few weeks.
Hannah likes to be independent and do things herself, like getting dressed. Trouble is, she sometimes puts things on in the wrong order. Sometimes she just likes to put more clothes on whether she needs them or not.
Baby S is getting better at turning over, and she's getting more sociable, too. Today when dressing Hannah, the neck of the shirt was kind of stuck on her head for a few seconds. Baby S burst out laughing at how funny Hannah looked. She also likes to be there when Hannah is watching educational DVDs or when she's having a story read to her.
One tiny Japanese Maple tree.
Is it a boy or a girl? We may never know. It takes a ginko tree about 30 years to mature enough to produce fruit, and a male and female tree must be near each other for it to happen. Duk-Sun planted some ginko nuts and up came the baby trees the other day. Trouble is, getting new seeds from these trees could be difficult. We'll have to wait till we're 75 to get the fruit from only the female trees. Until then, I won't know which ones are male and female.

  1. Paul, I am behind on your blog! So, y'all are planning to live in Austell or the nearby Cobb area and still come to Christ Church? That is a long drive! I am from Austell, I lived there until 1998 when my parents moved to Dallas, GA.
