We got a call and a visit from Mary, our child advocate attorney yesterday. She is so nice and so sharp! She said that Baby S's father has flown the coop. They haven't been able to contact him for a couple of months. So she has gotten the judge to agree to start the TPR (termination of parental rights) process about 3 months earlier than usual! If all goes well, Baby S could be our second daughter by Christmas! What can I say except, "Praise the Lord!"
Here's a song I really like based on a passage in Lamentations.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
For the Lord will not reject forever. Although he causes grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love; for he does not willingly afflict or grieve anyone.

How wonderful!! We are rejoicing with you, praise the Lord!
