It was unheard of in Georgia. Snow that lasted for over a week!? Five inclement weather days--in other words, no school for 5 days! But it actually happened. What did we do? The first day we stayed out in the white stuff and hardly came in at all. As the days went by, we spent more and more time in the house. Since the following Monday was a teacher planning day, the kids actually spent 8 days straight at home! The ice on the road pretty much kept us homebodies. I could drive on it, and did for short distances, but there was just too much ice to go more than a mile or two away from home. One good result of the snowfall--our international kids all got better acquainted.
