Thanksgiving

It was good to see most everyone at my parents place this Thanksgiving.  After many years at the old house, my parents moved a mile away to this new house.  It had been my father's sister Bernice's before she passed away.  This house is only slightly newer, but it is all on one level, and the floor plan is great for entertaining.  It has a carport, wide doorways, and a spacious kitchen with a dishwasher.  They had purchased their old house from my dad's sister Minnie.  Since my dad is now 82, I'm sure he'll appreciate not having to climb stairs in the coming years to get to his office.  Oh, one more interesting thing.  My aunt Bernice bought this newer house from the Crutchfield's.  They were the couple from whom my parents bought the Farm House Restaurant about 28 years ago.
