
Here is a view of where the stream feeds into the river.
Do you see the light-colored circle in the sand at the
bottom of the picture and at the bottom of the stream?
That's a fish nest.The fish in the middle of it has laid her eggs and is fighting off
other fish who may want to share or steal her nest.
Does anyone know what kind of snake this is?This is the second time we've seen it here.
It likes to hunt in this spot in the stream.
