Today was an especially interesting day for David and Daniel. They played soccer in the fall and this Tuesday night at the annual Sports Banquet they got awards for Most Improved Player and Most Valuable Player . I was so proud of them! Then, today all the boys from the boys soccer team were invited to play soccer with the girls soccer team. The coach chose captains and they had to alternate picking a girl then a boy so the teams were a good mix of boys and girls. They had a great time, and it seemed to me that the girls showed plenty of spunk since there were boys there. Afterwards, there was pizza under the pavilion.
As soon as we got home, an amazing thing happened. As the boys were getting out of the car in our driveway, David got really excited and started shouting about some kind of giant bug that had flown into the car and "almost bit him in the face." I've never seen him get so excited. It turned out that a cute young hummingbird had made a wrong turn and ended up in our car. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.
