Last year we tried going camping to celebrate my birthday. As I recall, we had bad weather, took forever to get packed, and arrived in the dark at a locked gate and had not called ahead to get the code, so we ended up turning around and going back home. This year, it was much better, as you can see.
This time we camped only a half hour from home, and in a yurt in case it rained, and it did, at 7a.m. the first morning! Being close to home was convenient, because on the second evening we got hungry for Sweet Tomatoes (all you can eat salad bar), so we went there. Sweet Tomatoes was near our house, so before dinner we stopped by the house and all took showers, dropped off the bicycles, checked on the dog, and then went back to the campsite. It was a fun trip! Everyone enjoyed themselves. We might even do this again sometime.

I like that yurt thing, I'd never seen one of those before. Great idea for those less adventurous.
